MARKET DAY Volunteer Opportunities
InfO Booth SuperstarS
Welcome market visitors, answer general questions, and provide assistance needed. Including to valued shoppers using food benefit programs. Perform market customer counts every 30 minutes, hand out shopper giveaways, and support other volunteers and staff as needed.
Note: We prefer volunteers that commit for 4 weeks minimum as training is required.
Set Up / Tear Down
This job is physical. We can’t wait to workout with you! Come setup tents, tables, chairs, and signs in the afternoon before the market, or come tear it all down for storage in the evening.
Chalkboard artist
Get creative with Bellevue Farmers Market’s main chalkboard! Each week it’s redesigned to include important information like what’s fresh, musicians and community partners joining market day. Only requires neat handwriting and a willingness to draw! Artists of all levels are welcome!
Market day ChampionS
Greet, assist, and thank market shoppers! This may include welcoming people at entrance and exit points, providing directions or guiding patrons to specific vendors, assisting in the dining area, and supporting other volunteers and staff as needed.
Photographer OR SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT CREATOR
Stroll the market for a couple of hours and capture the spirit of market day in photos/videos, including our customers, vendors, musicians, and all of the amazing food. Content will be used on our social media, newsletter, and website.
KIDS “POP” Club Team
Every market day, we setup space for the Two-Bite Challenge. You'll shop for fresh farm goods, prepare tasting samples, introduce kids to new fruits and vegetables, hand out tokens. Periodically, we also host a craft or fun activity, like zucchini car racing!
Adopt-a-board
The service is simple: each week on Thursday morning, you place an A-Board on a public sidewalk near your home. Then, you bring in the sign on Thursday evening. You store the sign at your home through the regular season.
Will you join us and pledge to Adopt-A-Board today? Fill out this easy form (click here) and you will be contacted with more information.
