Natalie evans | Market Director
Originally from Colorado, Natalie moved to the PNW in 2008 to attend Seattle Pacific University. While in school, Natalie frequented the Ballard Farmers Market and "fell in love with Washington farmers and produce." Shortly after graduating, she moved to Bellevue and started volunteering with the Bellevue Farmers Market. She came on board as the market's Executive Director in 2015. Natalie is passionate about local food, building community, and working tirelessly alongside others to encourage movements of justice to leave a better world for those that come after her.
VIVIAN YANG | MARKET MANAGER
After ten years of working with her family, Vivian Yang is now starting her own business in event planning. She hopes to build stronger communities and bring people together through organizing interactive events. Recently, she discovered a love for working with people and inspiring others to pursue their passions. As the market manager, Vivian hopes to learn more about sustainable living and also to encourage others to get more involved in their own communities. In addition, Vivian loves all sorts of arts and crafts and has a background in textile arts. She graduated in 2012 from the University of Washington and now lives in Snoqualmie with her family.
Kris Bennett, a former elementary teacher, has spent the past several years concentrating on volunteer work and being a mom to her (and husband, Steve's) three children. She has volunteered in various capacities with the Bellevue Farmers Market since its inception. Kris grew up in oxymoronic Liberal, KS and graduated from Kansas University. Rock Chalk, Jayhawk! In addition to being on the BFM Board, Kris also enjoys working with the Bellevue Presbyterian Church's high school youth group and serving on their Community Outreach Team. She has a passion for social justice issues and loves spending time with family and friends.
Raised in upstate New York and a Seattle area resident for twenty years, Pete received a BA degree in Industrial Design from Purdue University and has experience in Sales & Marketing, Strategic Planning, Lean Management and Quality Improvement. He held GM and CEO positions in privately held companies under $50M revenue in both growth and turnaround businesses before transitioning to management consulting and financial planning.Pete lives in Kirkland, WA. He's been married 38 years, has two grown children, and is a member of Bellevue Presbyterian Church. He's active professionally with Kiros and on the Board of his condominium and the Northwest Family Business Advisors. Pete has volunteered with the Bellevue Farmers Market since 2008 and has been a Board member since 2013. He enjoys numerous activities including cycling, golf, tennis, hiking and almost anything that allows him keep moving...he's not one to sit for long periods of time!
John Hamlin is an entrepreneur with a passion for small local business. He owns and operates a small technology consulting business in Bellevue. He has a passion for the local slow food movement and supporting local farms. He is a graduate of Whitman College with degrees in Economics and Geology. Currently John and his wife Rebecca have been residents of Bellevue for over 16 years and currently reside in Kirkland WA.
Amanda joins the farmers market as a board member after being an enthusiastic patron for the last several years. She has a heart for philanthropy and making Bellevue a wonderful place for all its residents. Amanda lives with her husband and two young children in Bridle Trails, where they prepare and eat colorful market produce all season long. When Amanda isn’t thinking about food, she spends her time distance running, skiing, quilting, and uncovering our community’s hidden gems with her family.
Turner grew up in Sacramento, CA and has fond memories of visiting local farms and going to the “Under-the-Freeway” farmer’s market with her family, but it wasn’t until she went to college at UC Santa Cruz (Go Slugs!) that she truly fell in love with farmer’s markets and the community they support. Turner has been volunteering with local farmer’s markets and CSAs in California since 2009. She moved to Bellevue with her husband Doug in 2013, and has been with POP Club since its first day. Turner has degrees in Literature, Curriculum and Instructional Design, and Elementary Education, with an emphasis on teaching STEM through play, which she gets to use every week at POP Club.
Parker is a seasoned marketer with a diverse set of experiences across industries. Having spent time in both large companies like Microsoft and Aol and small family owned businesses, he has a unique perspective on how to make deep connections to customers. Parker earned his B.A. from Westmont College and an M.B.A. from Boston University.
